Dios te Bendiga {Mexico Family Mission Trip}

This past weekend my family and I headed down to Mexico for a mission trip with the organization Love God Love People.  It was an amazing time as we worked with kids, did construction projects, participated in distributing food and joined in a fiesta!!  Phew...all that in a weekend...
(and I warn you that there are lots of pictures!!)

This was the sunset on our first night there...

The kids program...

My kids doing their thing...Mikaela played and played with kids until I think she became the play toy and Luc worked on constructing stuff.  He has been building things since he was little and this time he got to use hammer, nails, wood and a real drill.

My darling husband...stuck between the door frame and some drywall.  Someone please help him!!

We were helping to build a house for a single mom with four daughters.  Each of them was so sweet and so grateful!

It was so hot this weekend, I wish I could have fit into the bucket.  But I wouldn't have been as cute.

Getting bags of food ready to take out to give to those in need....

A few final instructions from our fearless leader...

Food distribution...

Then off to a fiesta at a local rehabilitation center.  After such a hot day we needed some refreshment, nourishment, playing and dancing with our Mexican friends...

I think our daughter spun kids around for HOURS.  She would get dizzy and need a break and the little ones just shouted "again! again!" (in Spanish, of course)

 Not only did we have a pinata, but we also got to celebrate my son's birthday too!!

We heard stories of transformation and changed lives...and they even sang a little for us.

Thanks to Love God Love People for allowing us to come down as a family and learn from you all.  We had an amazing time!!  The only thing my kids want to know is when can we come do it again???
