Marry Me: Jill and Chad {Woodinville Wedding Photography}

I went to a party on New Year's Eve!!  And what a party it was!!  Jill and Chad decided to get married on December 31, 2009 and after being there, I think a New Year's Eve wedding is a GREAT idea!!  Everyone comes dressed up ready to celebrate and nobody feels like they have to go home early or make other plans for later in the evening!!  (Although maybe they picked the date so it would be easy for Chad to remember his anniversary!!  Just kidding, Chad!) great as the party was, this couple is even more amazing.  You can tell by the way they look at each other that they are in love.  I could tell that when they were together all anxiety slipped away and they were "home" with one another.  I watched Chad take care of his Bride - putting his arms around her with the utmost tenderness.  And though Jill is beautiful on her own, I saw her simply glow when she was with her Groom.  Jill and Chad, I am so glad you asked me to capture the story of your wedding day!!

The wedding took place at Columbia Winery in Woodinville, Washington.  It is an AMAZING place to host a wedding!!  And all the details that went into planning were wonderful too!!

Getting ready, the festivities had already begun!!

I love the way little girls look at wedding dresses...almost with starry eyes, dreaming of a day that they may get to wear one!!  The Bride's room is always buzzing with activity, which was true on this day.  As Jill put on her dress, she didn't really like the way some of the under skirt was making it look.  Our solution???  Let's cut it off!!  (Jill, you were a brave woman to trust us with scissors around your dress!)

After she put the garter on, she realized her skin was dry.  I think it was just a ploy to see if she could get her Bridesmaids to give her a bit of a foot massage!!  (Good thinking!!)

Getting ready with the friend (and amazing photographer) David Anderson was there to capture it all!!

Chad and Jill decided to have a "First Look" before the wedding.  I think it is such a great idea!!  It allows all the pictures to be taken and then the Bride and Groom can really enjoy the reception without making their guests wait.  I also think it is wonderful because at the height of anticipation and nervousness during the wedding day, the one person you want to be with is the One you are marrying!!

The STUNNING Bride!!

The beautiful couple...

(We actually did a picture like this during their engagement shoot, so I thought it would be fun to do it again on the Wedding Day!)

...and the fun bridal party!!

Believe it or not, we really are going to get to the wedding part!!  It was a beautiful ceremony - officiated by Uncle Don - and Chad's mom sang a song for them.  (I am not sure how she made it through without crying.  While I was taking pictures of her with Chad, I had a moment when I realized that someday I could be the mother of the groom - and my son is only 10 - and I started to cry!!!  It made me realize how fast time goes by!)

I caught this moment just after they walked out the doors from the ceremony.  I think it says it all!! last!!!

So...I had so much fun at this wedding (and so did everyone else) that this story needs

Check back in a couple of days for more pictures from the amazing party, uh..reception, that Chad and Jill hosted after this beautiful ceremony!!
