Home...For a Few Days {Lacey Family Photography}

 I have photographed Margot and Mom a couple of times (see here and here), but it was an absolute privilege to get to photograph Dad this time as well.  The reason I haven't seen him before is because he is serving our country in Iraq but got to come home...at least for a few days.  He is headed back to Iraq tomorrow morning and my thoughts and prayers go with him.

We were not sure what the weather was going to do, so we opted for an "in home" session....which I am so glad we did.  I really like to capture moments of families in their homes and I think little ones like it best too (because the surroundings are totally familiar).

Now, before we go any further, I want to make one small disclaimer...I have photographed Mom and Margot a couple times before, so this post is a little heavy with Dad pictures.  I apologize for that, but thought it would be a little pre-Father's Day warm up, and I just love to see dads with their daughters.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture!!!

It was almost hard to get a "candid" picture of Margot because she is so smiley for the camera.  Watch out, Mom and Dad, she may be on her way to America's next top model!!

(So the book in this picture was one of Dad's favorites when he was little.  How cool to get to share a piece of your childhood with your own child!!)

Ahhh...Daddy kisses are the BEST!!

I think the sign says a lot about parenting....those of us who have kids should remember this each morning!

Just as we were starting to see a tired out little model, Mom had the idea to put Margot in the bathtub.  Boy am I glad she did!!  A baby, water, bubbles, and rubber duck...now there is a recipe for CUTENESS!!

Thank you C family for letting me into your lives once again!!  It was a pleasure to be able to photograph you all this time!  Many, many blessings on you...and a safe return home...soon!!
