Kiss Me: Linda and David {Seattle Engagement Photography}

Alright, so I am going to gush a little, but these two are some of the kindest people I have ever met!  They are friendly, always looking after others, thoughtful...and very much in love!  I met them through one of their friends, Kayla (see here, and here, and here) who decided to give them my photography services as a gift for their upcoming wedding.  (And when I say upcoming...I mean, like in a few days!)  How I wish I was going with them to Hawaii, but alas...I will have to settle for my time with them at the Japanese Gardens and a bit of their engagement party.  And maybe for a girls night out after you get back, right Linda (and Kayla too!)???

One of the things I enjoyed about this photo session was the playfulness and tenderness they have for one another.  I really didn't have to work very hard...I just stood back and captured the unfolding acts of love.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shot!!

This wisteria arbor made an amazing, intimate engagement spot...with a little room for some fun too!!  I kept photographing them, hoping that nobody was going to fall into the pond!  (I am sure the Koi would not have been happy!)

OK....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shot too!!!  It is moments like this when I feel like I am walking on sacred ground.  Linda's tenderness toward David and her hand so firmly placed on his cheek....oh...I'll stop talking now...

Linda describes herself as an "old soul", which makes me like her all the more because I've had people say that about me...maybe our souls connect.  I thought I'd include my favorite poetic phrase because it kept coming to mind while I photographed them...

"Grow old with me, the best is yet to be...the last of life for which the first was made..."
~ Robert Browning

With all these sweet moments, I wasn't totally sure we were going to make it to the engagement party afterward.  I thought maybe I was going to have to announce to the guests that the happy couple took off a few days early to speed up the timeline for the wedding!!

Linda and David are in the process of waiting to adopt a child.  They will make the most wonderful parents and the overflow of their love for each other will just envelop a little one in their home!  I look forward to photographing this little life with whom there already exists an invisible "red thread" connection!!  (But can't wait until we can SEE the red thread!)

I think Linda is just beautiful (and I know David agrees with me), so I had to get a picture of just her in the midst of the garden.   Although the flowers are lovely...she is lovelier!!

We headed over to an engagement party hosted by their friend (and mine too now!), Kayla.

Linda and David with Kayla and Elliana...

Good food, good friends and great wine...makes for an amazing engagement party!

Congratulations Linda and David.  I was truly a privilege to be with you guys last week!!  I wish you the most amazing trip to Hawaii...AND for little one to be placed in your arms very soon!!
