Kiss Me: Aimee and Steve {Seattle Engagement Photography}

 They didn't meet in college.  They didn't meet in high school.  They met in KINDERGARTEN!!!  How amazing is that??  And here they are just a few short weeks away from their wedding day, so totally in love!!

Aimee and Steve were such troopers about this engagement session.  First about the location (which is University of Washington) and then about whether or not to actually do the session in the fickle weather we are having.  I am learning not to trust any weather forecast in the Seattle area!!

Oh well....I think there is a commercial that says "see what amazing things a rainy day can make".  Well, here is the amazing things we made on our rainy day.....

An appropriate blessing for this soon-to-be-married {Seattle} couple....

"Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river."  (Malagasy Proverb)

Now I have to say that the first time I met Aimee, I instantly liked her!  We met at a Starbucks to talk about weddings and photography and "stuff"...but this was the first time I had met Steve.  What a solidly, great guy!!  I have no doubt he is going to be a wonderful husband to Aimee!!

One of the other things you should know about Steve is that he is Greek.  This means there will be incredible food at this wedding, a beautiful symbolic ceremony, and lots of laughter and dancing...really you can picture "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" minus the poofy, blue bridesmaids dresses.  But Aimee, if you want, I will bring the Windex!!  (Just kidding....though I am excited for your wedding day!)

OK...one more quote because I love it and because I think this is true of these two:

“Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky his is to have you.... The one who turns to his friends and says, 'that's her.'”

Well...you two have come a long way since kindergarten!!  I hope these next few weeks go by quickly and I am so excited to get to be part of the Celebration of your big day!!
