Breathe {inspiration for Wednesdays}

In the mall the other day, I saw a little girl wearing a beautiful, new (at least it looked new) dress.  It was obvious she was delighted with it.  I looked at her and told she looked a real princess.

Her response??
"I know." {with a huge smile!!}

She then proceeded to show me her sparkly shoes and how her dress spun when she twirled around.  She was unashamed at how she felt.  She was beautiful and she knew it.

Oh, how I wish every woman could hold onto that little-girl part of them that knows when they are stunning!  Too many of us are embarrassed of who we are...or embarrassed when we think we look pretty.  We diminish ourselves, and sometimes one another.  We pick ourselves apart or beat ourselves up for our imperfections and we kind of think this is a noble thing.

Instead, maybe we would all do well to practice is twirling around in our favorite dress, best blue jeans, most comfy sweats, or whatever choice of clothing, but we'd twirl with our best little-girl mindset that says "I am pretty just the way I am!"

Because it is TRUE!!!

Breathe, smile and go slowly.
