Marry Me: Katie and Colin {Woodinville Wedding Photography}

How to describe Katie and Colin's wedding??  A CELEBRATION!!
These two met in church when they were seven and have dated for a good long time, so when the day came, a host of family (including cousins from Canada...Go Whitecaps!!), church community, and friends came out to totally celebrate!!

The ceremony and reception took place at the awesome venue...Bear Creek Country Club.  My second shooter, Erin McFarland, and I were totally honored to be invited to this wedding celebration!

The girls got ready at the bride's parents house up the street from the country club. Everything was beautiful...but I couldn't resist throwing a little University of Washington paraphernalia in with the bling of the jewelry!

{The flower girl is trying to decide which ring Colin should get!}

The guys got ready down at the club house....

...in true wedding form, the guys were done getting ready way before the girls, so they decided to play a little golf!!

The unexpected (or maybe expected??) guests of the day were tears.  Katie's dad broke into tears upon seeing her.  Colin teared up when he saw Katie walk down the aisle.  Katie's brother cried during the ceremony.  Katie teared up seeing Colin for the first time.  Colin blamed his tears on "a high pollen count"!  I broke into tears during the father-daughter dance. (more on that later!).    I am  so glad Katie's mom invested in many packets of kleenex!!

The ceremony...

We got to take a few more pictures before the party really got started.

Then we came inside to a celebration atmosphere for first dances, toasts, and more tears!
Now let me say...I love weddings, but I don't usually cry at them.  It is kind of a job hazard, you know??  However, Katie's dad gave a speech about "being the luckiest man alive" in regards to his relationship with Katie and then inaugurated Colin into that very limited, prestigious club.  That is when the tears began to invade my eyes, but then they danced to Dancing with Cinderella and I lost it!

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

The celebration continued as cake was served, bouquets were tossed and lots of dancing commenced.  Grandpa enjoyed the music with his eyes closed...the flower girl caught the bouquet and had to tell the DJ who she would want to marry...cousins embraced, sang and danced!  And the electricity in the air told me that guests weren't just having fun, they were really celebrating the coming together of two lives in marriage!!

Thank you Katie and Colin for the invitation to your wedding!  It was a privilege to be part of your big day!  Many, many blessings on you both!!
