Kiss Me: Brooke and Steve {Bellevue Wedding Photography}

I have worked with this beautiful girl on a few weddings, as she and her mom are AMAZING wedding coordinators, so I was totally honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding!!  Though it won't be until October, thought I'd give you a sneak peek of this wonderful couple at their engagement session...

For those of you who live in the state of Washington, yes...you are seeing correctly.  That is a Cougar kissing a Husky.  Truly they will be a house divided, but they have looked past this massive gulf that separates them, and have found true love!  Kind of like Romeo and Juliet, right?  Romeo and Juliet who like (and play) baseball!!

Doesn't it give you hope for world peace when University of Washington and Washington State University can come together??

Brooke and Steve were fun to photograph and were willing to be playful with each other.  Of course, their love for one another just spills over in each image!

Thanks you two!!  I had a great time with you!  I cannot wait for October!!

Breathe {inspiration for any day}

What do we do when the journey ahead of us seems both perilous and yet full of beauty?  When the road is not well-trodden, nor well built, but it beckons us to come anyway?  What do we do when the wonder of what lies ahead equals the pain of leaving other things behind?  What do we do?  Well...we grab a travel pack of kleenex, feel every emotion possible, and journey on.

As I write this, these are not just philosophical words, but the story I am living right now.  At the end of June, my family and I will end our time here in the Pacific Northwest and journey on a new path to Denver, Colorado.  We are thrilled to head to a place with more days of sunshine and family whom we love, but we are deeply sad to leave the friends we have made over the last six years.  I do not take lightly all the client-friends that I have been able to photograph in our time here and I am sad that I will not see some little ones grow up nor see the same families year after year!

As of right now, I am still booking photo sessions for the spring, but the cut off will be the end of May....maybe a few in June if some of you don't mind waiting a bit for the images!!

A million thank yous to all of you I have photographed in the last 6 years!!  It has been an honor to tell a piece of your story!!  I guess there must also be a few stories in the Denver area that need telling too!!  If you are the praying sort, I would love your prayers as we finish well here, and transition smoothly there.

May we all take the roads that lead us on our life's journeys.

Breathe, smile and go slowly.

Class of 2013: Julia {Federal Way Senior Photography}

I think that this girl is just FABULOUS!!  And she totally proved it once again on the photo session!!
Meet Julia....

What I love about Julia is that she is both deep AND silly!  Her soul is solid because it is filled with the weighty gold of faith, but her spirit is so light and lively!

And any girl who will get into the water in Puget Sound in March has my deepest respect!!

Julia, you are gorgeous both inside and out!  It was a pleasure photographing you!!  Thank you, thank you for inviting me to spend some time with you!!
