Listen {Unspoken Truth Spoken Everywhere}

It has been a while since I have written a Breathe or Snap-and-Savor post and I miss writing on a weekly basis.  However, the truth is, I've been trying to figure out what writing project to do next.  For me, this means being quiet and waiting; listening and praying for where God would direct.

Laying in bed the other day, I read Psalm 19...

"The heavens are rehearsing the glory of God,
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands."

...and I knew I had been given my new assignment.

I do not have an affinity for nature photography, as I much prefer to photograph people, but this ancient poem reminded me of the need to look and LISTEN much more closely to the world I see around me.  If what the writer says is true (and I believe it is) then there is a glorious performance going on around me that I so often miss.  My busyness fosters a habit of deafness...and my world shrinks into utility.

So the assignment is to listen to the "unspoken truth spoken everywhere"....
(also Psalm 19...The Message)

As I write this, I realize it will take more than ears to hear.  It will employ my whole self - my eyes, my feet, my heart, my hands...and my time.  It means I will need to wait in silence until it brings forth the spoken unspoken.  And then I will need to respond to the declaration.

I hope you'll join me.  Practice with me.  It will be a sort of treasure hunt, right?
Listening for unspoken truth spoken everywhere.
Who knows what we will hear??
