Marry Me: Brooke and Steve {Denver Wedding Seattle}

All really will need a cup of coffee to sit down and enjoy this wedding story.
First, the bride is a wedding coordinator and so there are so many details that I am sure I have left some out, and second, the bride and groom made the wedding day entirely a reflection of who they are!!
It was a celebration like none other!!

They decided to get married up at Swiftwater Winery and rented a couple of homes in the area for family and friends.  It was really the party before the official party!  Anyway, they happened to have a Save-the-Date on hand and I couldn't resist!!

The bride is a HUGE University of Washington fan.  The groom is not.  He favors Washington State University.  Not sure a Husky and a Cougar are supposed to get confirms the old adage that "love is blind"!

A note from the groom...

The guys getting ready...

Brooke made all her bridesmaids these awesome tank tops.

Brooke's dress was STUNNING!!  And to it she added a piece of jewelry that had belonged to her great-grandmother.

I will say that the one thing I appreciate about these two is just how quickly they smile and laugh.
I usually use a more serious picture of the groom, but this seemed so fitting for Steve.

First Look....

Let the fun begin!!!

The theme of the wedding was "A House Divided" (because of the rivalry of their schools of choice).
Even the bridal party got in on the fun....

We headed down into the cellar to do a few pictures...

Brooke thought of every detail.  Her "something blue" was some lovely bling around her bouquet (from her mother-in-law, I believe).  And all the flowers were just amazing!!  They had pins for their guests to put on (to show their loyalties to a school), a beautiful display of pictures of those family members who had gone before them, baseball stuff, and Brooke even had a hankie her parents had bought for her 10 years ago in Italy.

Even when Steve thought he knew what the plans for the day were, Brooke still had a couple of other surprises for him...she made this sign, and later in the ceremony sang a song for him.

Details, once again, abounded at the reception...keychain corks were the placecards,  UW and WSU themed decor, candy bar, ice cream bar and even flip flops for the ladies to put on (and take of those high heels) to get on the dance floor!  Plus, keeping true to who they are, they chose a "family style" set up and meal.  The warmth, conversation and energy radiated all night long!

Cocktail hour...

Let the party start!!  From first dances, to cake cutting...from dancing with her dad to the Hora dance, there was LOTS of fun to be had by all!

Congratulations, you two!!  It was an honor to be invited to your wedding!!  Every detail fit who you are.  I wish you all the best into the future!!
